g25 | opportunity knocked (MULTIPLE X!) but the door wouldn’t open . . .

Mariners 3 | Angels 6

ON THE MOUND
‘t was over early for Aaron . . .
FIVE earned runs on SIX hits and TWO walks in THREE innings does not earn you a 4th

bit of a bright spot was . . .
Hector! whodathunk?!?

He did give up a run and a couple of walks in his 3.1 innings but, he also struck out THREE and looked pretty good doing it. Maybe just in time, as things are not lookin’ so rosy for Aaron.

AT THE PLATE
M’s had the lead-off batter aboard in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th

4th = bases loaded ~ scored only ONE, Kelly’s bases loaded HBP
5th = bases loaded ~ scored NONE
6th = a sac-fly (Endy) and a sac-bunt (Brendan) scored TWO
7th = runners at 1B and 2B with two out, Dustin hit a pinch hit infield single that Kendrick knocks down and it seems like Justin might make it cuz Kendrick has so far to go to even get in position to throw home but, Justin lost a step when Datz was in his path . . . strange  . . .  argh!
8th = TWO on and no outs, and NONE score
9th = TWO on and ONE out, and NONE score

IN THE FIELD
* each team turned a DP
* Trout stole a base but, also made a rare error that made things interesting in the 9th (but again, the M’s fail to capitalize)
