If the Halos have been Felix’s nemesis ~ Kuma has been the Halo’s daddy
ON THE MOUND
Kuma continues his dominance over the Halos (and apparently, over everyone else too!)
SIX innings ~ ZERO earned runs ~ ZERO walks ~ EIGHT strikeouts
Carter made it a little too exciting in the 8th . . .
after getting the first TWO batters out (via K and GO) he allowed a double (to Bourjos) and then took six pitches to get Trout to fly out – whew!
The Bartender did his thing again . . .
to earn his EIGHTH save (M’s are now 10-0 when leading after 8 innings)

AT THE PLATE
* Dustin extends his hit streak to NINE
* Endy extends his hit streak to EIGHT
* Kyle’s hit streak ends at SIXTEEN
Jason (Bay) was the first to show Jason (Vargas) the “new” RF fences . . .
a solo shot that tied the game in the 7th
OK, I can’t prove it but I was WILLING Michael to get that home run in the 8th . . . .
I was looking at his game logs when he was at the plate. I knew he’d been struggling a since his return from the broken pinkie (and that he hadn’t had a homer since then) but, what I was surprised to see was that he only has TWO doubles this year and, they have both come since his return from the injury . . . and then, B O O M ! ! !
IN THE FIELD
Robert’s error in the 6th was a killer – or, so it seemed at the time. He looked up to check the runner going from 2B to 3B and lost the ball in the process allowing the run to score and the batter to be safe at 1B. Thankfully, it turns out that would be the only run the Halos would score and it wouldn’t be enough.
