Joe posted the M’s first complete game of the season (the 8th of his career) . . .

FOUR hits ~ TWO earned runs ~ ONE walk ~ TWO strikeouts

A two-run homer was his only mistake and the only extra base hit he allowed. Interesting that he posted a 17-2 ground ball to fly ball ratio (where are those grounders on the road?) and impressive that he was able to shut down one of the most prolific offenses so far in this young season (coming into this game, the O’s had scored the second most runs in the majors)

AT THE PLATE
Sure didn’t take Michael long to get “back into the SWING of things, TWO pitches exactly . . .

and then, look ma, hits with runners in scoring position!!!
~ 4th ~ Jason with an RBI double and Robert with an RBI single
~ 6th ~ Brendan with an RBI single, Michael S safe on a FC and an RBI, Kyle with an RBI triple
~ Good to see multi-hit games from Justin, Jason and Kyle – in fact, Jesus was the only one without at least one hit but, he walked and scored a run . . . so there ya go – production up and down!

IN THE FIELD

Michael as if he never left CF (fielded the first play of the game)
and nice plays all ’round the infield as per usual, including  TWO double plays
(Kendrys proved capable at 1B, as he and Justin switched positions tonight)
