Welcome to the Show, Mister Zunino!

Larry Stone was the first to the twitter-verse with the news of Mike Zunino’s impending call up . . .

and then they were flying fast and furious . . .

Various thoughts from the usual suspects . . .

Here are mine . . .
The move is not made without risk but, neither will it “ruin” Zunino as some have suggested. Nor, do I believe, is a “desperate” move made to save jobs (namely, the “other” Z or W). It is likely a short term solution for the current lack of bodies behind the plate (both Jesuses on the DL, Kelly who’s caught about a bajillion innings in the past 7 days ~including ALL 16 of the extra-inning affair vs. the Sox~ and a rookie). I’m thinking Zunino will be up for a several days to a couple of weeks ~ until Sucre is off the DL. Then he’ll go back down having had that cup of coffee to learn from and draw on until the next time he’s called up ~ “for reals”.

Best of luck living and learning on the job, Mike!
