The coulda, woulda, shouldas were numerous n this one – it was VERY even until LATE in the 4th Q . . .
too many stupid penalties and missed opportunities (like not converting a red zone interception to any points) but, the main difference-maker was the late 51 yard run by Frank Gore that set up the Niners 4th field goal to put them up by two points with only 26 seconds left in the game. The hail mary from RW that followed was intercepted to seal the win for the Niners.
Some “firsts” . . .
- Luke Willson’s first TD
- Byron Maxwell’s first INT (and, the “other” right corner, Jeremy Lane, played well too)
- and, the Niners only TD was their first in SIX quarters vs. SEA this season
Can’t win ’em all so, may as well lose -CLOSELY- to one of the best . . . and learn from it.
