} Bully again gives up ZERO earned runs . . .
Tom struck out the first batter (Trout) in the 8th, gave up a double to Pujols and then Robbie committed the error that disallowed the DP and allowed the unearned run. Joe came in and got an out without throwing a pitch (picked off Freese) and Fernando got his first Mariner inning under his belt – allowed a hit and struck out one (and yes, even though it wasn’t a save, we got to see the bow and arrow).
AT THE PLATE
~ Again, only TWO players w/o a hit (Kyle and Stefan ~ in his big league debut)
~ THREE more doubles (Abraham, Dustin and Justin – whose was of the bases-clearing variety after Robbie was intentionally walked in front of him!)
~ Corey and John, not to be outdone by Robinson, also have their first Mariners hits as infield singles
~ And, of course, if Brad hits ONE, he hits TWO 😉
IN THE FIELD
* Brad with a fielding error and Robbie with a RARE throwing error that nixed a DP in the 8th.
* But, they made up for it by getting a nifty DP to end the game
