Considering the Twins are sort of the antithesis of the M’s, something was bound to give . . .
Going into this game, Twins batters were second in the AL in OBP and 5th in runs, while their pitchers were had the third highest ERA and were tied for the worst BAA

So much for Chris’ first career FOUR game winning streak . . .
It was his second longest outing but, it was also the most earned runs – as many as in his last THREE starts combined (go ahead, blame me, I just picked him up for my fantasy team :/) Considering he gave up FIVE doubles and TWO homers – it sure coulda been worse . . .
SEVEN innings ~ TEN hits ~ FIVE earned runs ~ ONE walk ~ ZERO strikeouts
} Joe and Tom combined for a scoreless bottom of the 8th . . .
Joe got TWO outs but also gave up TWO hits. Tom entered recorded the THIRD out with a THREE pitch K
AT THE PLATE
~ Good to see Michael back and contributing (after a few days out with a sore knee). James was leading off but, Michael was batting second and on base FOUR times (THREE hits and a walk) with ONE run scored.
~ There was a nice little rally in the 8th when Justin singled, Kyle walks, Dustin tripled and Mike hit a sac-fly. But, it would prove too-little-too-late
