Mariners 0 | Orioles 1

Of the M’s TEN losses since the All Star Break, SEVEN of them were by ONE run, TWO were by TWO

Their run differential since the break is 43-46 . . .
they don’t need  m u c h (they are in EVERY game!) but, sure hoping the recent moves help just enough.

ON the MOUND
Kuma did his thing once again – and, once again, nothing to show for it . . .
TWO of the FIVE of hits he allowed were for extra bases but, the only one that counted would be the only one that counted for the ENTIRE game – lead off blast by Markakis. After that, Kuma proceeded to strike out the next THREE batters. He was essentially cruise through the rest of the game (with a bit of a squeeze here and there :/ ) and was ONE out away from a complete game (Danny came in to get the final out)
SEVEN.TWO innings ~ FIVE hits ~ ONE earned run ~ TWO walks ~ SEVEN strikeouts

AT the PLATE
As good as Kuma was ~ kudos to exM Tillman and his BP – just a smidge better . . .
They allowed only FOUR singles and set the M’s down in order from the 3rd inning to the 8th . . .  ugh!

IN the FIELD
* Zu with a dead to rights caught stealing of Lough for the third out in the 2nd
* Kyle with a great charging play on a chopper for the third out in the 6th
