The title “Compass Rosy” is a nod to the Mariners compass rose logo and reference to my typical optimism regarding their chances (whether it be in an inning, a game or a season) as I originally created this blog to document my following of my favorite sports team.
Life and times have changed since my days of being a season ticket holder (for both the M’s AND the Seahawks) – after raising our three children, my husband and I moved to our forever home in south Puget Sound on Anderson Island. Needless to say, being at the mercy of a ferry schedule makes attending games a rare treat. In fact, with the pandemic precipitating my plan to work from home full time, it is by choice that I rarely leave the island 🙂
All this to say, this blog is transitioning from daily postings during the baseball season of “all Mariners, all the time” to a whenever, whatever seems positive and fun at the time but, keeping with that “rosy” theme 😉
I will likely post a lot of photos because, living where I live, even an amateur photographer like me (with only an old iPhone) can get some pretty good shots of the beauty that surrounds. ❤
Greetings from Bainbridge Lisa! Sorry to read you’ve given up your season tickets. But if by chance you can’t resist seeing you second favorite team (the Yankees), I’ll be at the M’s game on Wednesday , May 31 and would love to have a beer and catch up from the Forum days. Shelly
That would be great!
