When I made the choice several years ago to move to the southern most island in Puget Sound, I knew I attending games would be more of a challenge but, I still managed to get to every Opening Day as well as a handful of day games each season since moving. Then came 2020 and that little thing called a global pandemic – my only appearance at T-Mobile Park last season, like many fans, was as a cardboard cutout. I wasn’t able to make it to Opening Day this year so, today was my first time back at the ballpark since the middle of the 2019 season . . .

Kikuchi’s see-saw started off on the upside: 4.1 innings of ZERO hits. Then, a couple of rough innings -5th and 7th- where he was sorta singled to death (including TWO of the 2-run variety). But, even though his final line wasn’t spectacular, good to see him get through SEVEN: 7IP-6H-5R-5ER-3BB-3SO
