g117 | The King, The Lord The DEE and the bottom of the order . . .

A VERY Happy Felix Day, as Felix was Felix, the DEE was back “on” and the O was just enough.

Mariners 2 | Brewers 0

ON THE MOUND

THIS is the Felix we know and love – maybe not perfect but, definitely dominant . . .
EIGHT innings ~ FOUR hits ~ZERO runs ~ ONE walk ~ NINE strikeouts

} Danny with his FOURTH save in as many tries (gave up one hit and struck out one)

AT THE PLATE
Their starter was not too shabby himself, as the M’s only managed FOUR hits – though TWO were for extra bases and all were from the bottom of the order. The runs came via a Dustin double and WP and a Justin homer (his 12th)

IN THE FIELD
* Brendan was at SS and Brad at 2B (Nick out with illness) and Brendan made some really nice plays, including one of the bare-handed variety
* A double play turned (Brad-Brendan-Justin) but, none turned against them (though Henry got caught trying to stretch a single into a double)

g116 | another Brew Crew blowout

Nothing was going to beat the pre-game festivities (post coming soon) but, certainly didn’t expect this 😦

Mariners 0 | Brewers 10

ON THE MOUND
Kuma started out well . . .
though he had base-runners in nearly every inning, he wasn’t in serious trouble until it all came undone in the 7th when the Brew Crew scored SIX times (single, single, FC, double, single, homer) and he ended with one of his worst lines of his season . . .
6.2 innings ~ NINE hits ~ SIX earned runs ~ ONE walk ~ THREE strikeouts

} Yoervis had a “clean” inning but, Lucas imploded -giving up FOUR runs and recording only ONE out in the 9th- Carter was able to put them out of their misery.

AT THE PLATE
Move along, nothing to see here.
FOUR total hits (TWO by Dustin, including the only extra base hit – a double)

IN THE FIELD
At least it was a fairly clean game with no errors committed and TWO double plays turned

Mariners 5 | Brewers 10

ON THE MOUND

Obviously, not Joe’s best effort, though his defense was NO help WHAT-so-ever . . .
4.1 innings ~ SEVEN hits ~ NINE runs ~ FOUR earned runs ~ TWO walks ~ FOUR strikeouts

} Not sure why Erasmo was put in out of the pen but, he went 1.2 and gave up a run
} Carter & Lucas were nearly lone bright spots, combining for THREE innings ~ ONE hit ~ ZERO runs/walks ~ FOUR K’s

AT THE PLATE
~ Brad the only batter with multiple hits (THREE) including a double (but no RBI)
~ Justin with only ONE hit but, it was a TWO-run homer
~ Kyle and Nick with the rest of the RBI

IN THE FIELD
Not sure what’s up with the  s l o p p y  baseball lately  😦 . . .
* Kyle with TWO more errors (FOUR in the last THREE games, he now has ELEVEN on the year)
* Nick also made an error

(OK – it was after the game but, hey, there wasn’t a lot during ;-( )
